Little houses are becoming a trend in the US. How long before the tiny house catches on in Canada?…

As the popularity of tiny house companies like Tumbleweed Tiny House Company climbs, and the number of nuclear families drops, the question everyone needs to ask themselves is: how much space do I need?

For many, as more of our lives go online, we need less space for physical possessions.  We have wireless internet, cell phones, and tablets.  Our cd collections are now reduced to binary code on our ipods or mp3 players. Many people downsize as they grow older, some going on the road in RVs, and never looking back.  Why not consider a little house on wheels?  Just ask the people behind the tiny house movement, a trend driven in part by growing economic crises. Hopefully, your decision to downsize is driven by your concern for the environment and not any financial woes.

What do you think about the tiny house movement?  Would you want to live in such a small space?  Are these the houses of the future?  Let me know in the comments below or on facebook.
