A New Idea – Image of the Week

The light bulb has long been a symbol of “a new idea”. With the popularity of fluorescent light bulbs growing, I thought I would create an image that would depict the concept of “new ideas” in our new energy-conscious world. I’d like to shoot an LED light bulb now as there has been some controversy over the mercury gas that most compact florescent bulbs use.

This image was created using a shot of the light bulb I took in my studio using my Nikon D2X and a 35mm lens. I then used Photoshop to add the glow to the bulb.
