In 2013, everyone knows about global networking.

You can reach almost anyone you know instantly, no matter where they are on the planet.  Just think, it was only 137 years ago that Alexander Graham Bell made the first phone call.  We’ve gone from telephones to texting, from telegraphs to email.  And we’ve done it in less than 140 years.  The whole world is only a click away; the internet makes this seem normal to us, and to the children of today.

Those children can’t imagine a world without global networking, without connectivity, without instagram, facebook, youtube, and twitter.  Every connection we make becomes important, and every ‘like’ seems to define us in this brave new world.

What has global networking done for you?  Have you gotten a job, met a new friend or partner online?  What does the future of networking look like?  Let me know in the comments below or on facebook.
