Hike to the top

Last month my friend Shawn and I, along with our daughters and one of their friends, decided to go for a hike up the local landmark, Mt. Peter. The plan was to watch the sunset from the Summit and then scurry down quickly.

We made it just in time. We stayed a little too long up there taking photos and high five’ng and by the time we were only half way down it was pitch black. It made that last bit pretty treacherous but the view from the top was well worth the effort. I think Sidney’s wounds from her fall are healed. If you look closely at Shawn’s pack you can see his bear spray. Thankfully, we didn’t have to use it. A flashlight would have been more useful!
