Old fashioned is coming back into fashion, with typewriters coming back into vogue…

Do you like manual over electrical technology?  Typewriters were state of the art in their time, but have rapidly been outstripped by our current touch screens.  But ask any writer, and most will tell you that at one point or another, they have owned a typewriter.  Even the Kremlin is going back to basics according to this tweet by Canadian literary queen Margaret Atwood. Another famous Margaret, Margaret Mitchell used a Remington Portable No. 3 to write her best-known classic, Gone with the Wind. Old fashioned items used to be shipped off to thrift stores, but they have been making a comeback recently.  Maybe the ever-changing technology of the present makes us long for the past?  The Kremlin seems to think security on computers so terrible that paper documents are now the only way to shield state secrets from prying eyes.  Does the pace of our world make us wish for a time when things were built to last and the character and quality often lacking  in our modern disposable products? What do you think? Has the connectivity of the internet forced us back to basics for security reasons? Do you own or use a typewriter? Are you concerned about the security of your information in the digital age? Let me know in the comments below or on facebook.
